The Fourth Sunday of Easter

  • Northridge United Methodist Church 4610 Derr Road Springfield, OH, 45503 United States (map)

“I AM the gate. Those who come in through me will be saved. They will come and go freely and will find good pastures. The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life. I AM the good shepherd. The good shepherd sacrifices his life for the sheep.” (John 10:9-11)

Happy Mother’s Day!

Join us this Mother’s Day as Pastor Karen Crawford teaches on Jesus the Gate and Jesus the Good Shepherd. There is just one gate to God. Just one gate to heaven. It should be locked, right? When you think of how sinful we all are, when you look around at the corruption in our world, when you are even honest about the evil in your heart, you would think that the gate to God and heaven should be locked tight! But it’s not. It’s open to you. It’s open to me. Is that not amazing?!

The gate to heaven is open to all who believe in Jesus. It’s open because Jesus, the Good Shepherd died for you and for me! The blood of Jesus took away our sins and instead offered us eternal life.

Our readings for the day are from Psalm 23, Revelation 3:20, & John 10:1-16

Jesus is the Gate. Jesus is our Good Shepherd. Come and be saved!
