The Sixth Sunday of Easter

  • Northridge United Methodist Church 4610 Derr Road Springfield, OH, 45503 United States (map)

“I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. . . . I am the vine; you are the branches.” - John 15:1, 5

Join us this Sixth Sunday of Easter as Pastor Karen teaches us that Jesus uses the image of a vine and its branches to teach us about life in Him. when we are attached to him are we "tapped into" God. Jesus provides our sustenance for the daily challenges of living.

You and I are the branches. Only by remaining connected to Jesus can we bear the fruit of Christ. By the power of God's Spirit in us, we can bear the spiritual fruit of "love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control" (Galatians 5:22-23). When we are connected to the true vine, to Jesus himself, we produce fruit, glorifying God and drawing others to his love and mercy.

Like a branch attached to the vine, are you connected to Jesus and bearing fruit?

Our readings for the day are from Jeremiah 23:5-6, Galatians 5:22-23, & John 15:1-8

Come and worship with us, You are Welcome Here!
